inquiry & thinking
Whilst on professional experience rounds at Lara Primary School I was fortunate enough to implement an Inquiry Unit on 'Leadership; Leadership means different things to different people'. This unit was developed by the team of year 5/6 teachers and I was required to put my own spin on each lesson; adapting it where possible to suit the diverse needs of the students in my class. I used a variety of kinaesthetic, hands-on and technology-based activities to keep students engaged and motivated throughout the learning process. .
Planning followed the process of; Tuning In, Finding Out, Sorting Out, Making Connections, Going Further and Reflection. Throughout this unit, different forms of Leadership and different leaders around the world were explored;
